Adding someone to your Facebook Ad Account can be complicated for people that are not too familiar with Facebook for business. One of the problems businesses encounter when hiring a social media manager is on how to grant editorial/admin access to the person. Some out of frustration give up and give the social media manager their Facebook Login information.
This may seem as though it circumvents the hassle, it however poses a security threat to the account owner both in terms of losing the privacy of the account to an unknown person and also the security check that comes with logging into your account from another location or device.
it is not as difficult as you may think it to add someone to your Facebook Ad Account. Please note that, it is easier to add someone to your ad account when you are friends with the person. So to start with, send a friend request to the person and let him/her accept your request. in this way, it will be easier to ad the person to your Facebook Ad Account by just typing the person’s name.
Here is the process to get started in adding an account manager or editor to your Facebook Ad Account.
- First login to your Facebook account, scroll down to the end of the page and click on the “Ad” button at the bottom left
2. This will load your Facebook Ad Account. Click on the “Settings Icon” at the top right corner
3. Clicking the button above will open your Ad Account Settings. Scroll down to the end of the page where you will see “Ad Account Roles” and click on “Add People” and then enter the Facebook name of the person that you want to add to the account.
The person will receive a notification immediately that he has been added to your Facebook Ad Account. Please note that there is nothing like acceptance of invitation when you add someone to your ad account. Rather, it happens automatically. Therefore, you have to manually remove the person from the account if you want them to cease having access to the account. Depending on what you want the person to do for you, be mindful of the role you are assigning to the social media manager.
